We are currently interviewing for classroom and clinical Instructor for full-time and part-time positions.



Full-time position

 

General Duties

  • Provide classroom instruction in an environment conducive to learning, utilizing adult learning principles.
  • Prepare, administer, grade and analyze tests, assignments and projects.
  • Maintain student records in a timely manner.
  • Select appropriate resident and/or patients prior to clinical.
  • Arrange for experiences to meet the objectives and outcomes set for each rotation.
  • Supervise and evaluate student performance during labs and/or clinical rotations.
  • Provide input into curriculum development, instructional methods, objectives and  philosophy
  • Provide office hours for student consultation and tutoring.
  • Faculty advisor to a group of assigned students.
  • Serve on committees regarding student affairs.
  • Assist in recruitment, screening and retention of students.
  • Actively participate in the ABHES and MO State Board of Nursing accreditation process.

 

Part-time clinical position

 

General duties:

  • Select appropriate resident and/or patients prior to clinical.
  • Supervise and evaluate student performance during labs and/or clinical rotations.
  • Arrange for experiences to meet the objectives and outcomes set for each rotation.
  • Attend scheduled faculty meetings and/or workshops.
  • Provide office hours for student consultation and/or tutoring.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing or currently working on one.
  • Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of MO.
  • Have a minimum of two years nursing experience in the past five years.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
