We prepare students for these medical careers:

• Medical Assistant Career. Clinical duties include performing basic lab tests, administering injections, conducting electrocardiograms, and many other procedures. Some administrative duties may be required.

• Medical Billing and Coding Career. Little direct care of patients is involved in this medical career. Duties include using classification systems software to assign codes to diagnoses and procedures.

• Pharmacy Technician Career. Skills required include helping prepare and fill prescriptions under the direction of a pharmacist, issuing medication and preparing IV solutions.

• Medical Office Administration Career. Duties are largely administrative, including handling patient billing and insurance claims processing.

• Patient Care Technician Career . Basic nursing care knowledge is required while working with doctors and nurses in attending the needs of patients at home, in hospitals, or in nursing facilities.

• Respiratory Therapist Career. This medical career program is 22 months long and prepares students to care for patients with breathing disorders using high-tech equipment.

• Practical Nursing Career. Duties include assisting registered nurses and doctors in caring for patients while performing basic therapeutic, rehabilitative and preventive procedures.

• Occupational Therapy Assistant Career. As an assistant, you will be helping occupational therapists treat and care for patients who suffer from physical, psychological or neurological disabilities.
