Medical Assistant Program

 

Our medical assistant training program prepares our graduates to:

 

  • enjoy a career that is both challenging and rewarding
  • work side-by-side with physicians, nurses and technicians
  • perform both administrative and clinical duties
  • clinical duties include: collecting lab specimens, performing basic laboratory tests, sterilizing medical instruments, administering injections, preparing patients for X-Rays, and conducting electrocardiograms (EKGs)
  • work in hospitals, doctor’s offices, home care agencies, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, and insurance companies

 

Graduates are eligible to take a national examination to become a Registered Medical Assistant through the American Medical Technologists Association (AMTA).
