Position:    Instructor for Occupational Therapy Assistant Program

Reports to:   OTA Program Director

Seeking full-time and part-time adjunct instructors for the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at our County Campus in Fenton, Missouri.

General Duties:
•    Organize, plan, develop & deliver classroom and laboratory instruction in one or more courses.
•    Collaborate with Program Director and faculty on curriculum design, student evaluation, student progression and student retention.
•    Assist with coordination of department activities and projects.
•    Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and consistent with mission of the OTA program and the college.
•    Maintain detailed records of student learning activities and report grades or progress reports in a timely manner to both students and to administration.
•    Conduct student performance-evaluations per institutional policies.
•    Supervise and evaluate student didactic learning and skill-performance
•    Provide office hours for student consultation and advising.
•    Support program objectives and philosophy
•    Actively participate in related accreditation processes.
•    Behave and dress as a role model for students
•    Inspire and motivate students and peer instructors
•    Utilize internal and external resources to support professional growth and development and lend knowledge to support the program/college.

 
Requirements:

•    Minimum of AAS degree as Occupational Therapy Assistant or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.  *Full time status only available to applicants with BS degree or higher.
•    Currently licensed as OTA or OT in the State of Missouri
•    Minimum of three or more years of related OT clinical experience
•    Preference given to applicants with prior teaching experience
•    Be of good moral character
•    Ability to work with diverse student learning styles and personalities
