St. Louis College of Health Careers, a locally owned and operated College with 2 campuses, focused on allied health education, is seeking highly skilled professionals for immediate openings.

 

Full Time / Part Time /Adjunct

 
General Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 

  • Teaching Duties: developing/carrying out lesson plans; lecturing; leading lab sessions; student supervision, evaluation and advising.  Posting grades in timely manner.
  • Teaching various core OTA curriculum and some related support courses.
  • Maintenance of classroom; lab space and storage of equipment, including equipment ordering/inventory.
  • Participation in OTA program development, evaluation and accreditation tasks.
  • Participation in professional development plan; institutional or dept. meetings/in-services; and in professional association or related professional conferences.
  • Participation in student recruitment and college recruitment events.
  • Participation and management of some student fieldwork program requirements.

 
Minimum Requirements:      
 

  • Must be currently licensed in MO as OT or COTA
  • Hold a minimum of a Bachelor Degree
  • Have 3+ years clinical O.T. experience.
  • Must demonstrate good communication and listening skills, and be proficient in English
  • Be able to effectively teach, supervise, and evaluate students in clinical & didactic settings.
  • Should have good critical thinking and problem solving skills and be able to handle multiple tasks under given deadlines.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

Masters Degree; Past teaching or faculty experience; Fieldwork supervision experience; Pediatric or mental health clinical experience.
 
*Proof of current Missouri State Licensure and transcripts from accredited OT/OTA program required prior to start of employment.  All new employees are subject to criminal background check.
