ACCREDITATION
St. Louis College of Health Careers is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). The Respiratory Therapy program is approved by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) and the Missouri Board of Higher Education. In addition, the program has a Full Certificate of Accreditation from the Commission of Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).

Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)
“The occupational therapy assistant program has applied for accreditation and has been granted Developing Program Status by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 4720 Montgomery Lane, PO BOX 31220, Bethesda, MD 20824-1220. ACOTE’s telephone number c/o AOTA is (301) 652-AOTA. Once accreditation of the program has been obtained, its graduates will be eligible to sit for the national certification examination for the occupational therapy assistant administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). After successful completion of this exam, the individual will be a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). In addition, most states require licensure in order to practice; however, state licenses are usually based on the results of the NBCOT Certification Examination. Note that a felony conviction may affect a graduate’s ability to sit for the NBCOT certification examination or attain state licensure."

The Physical Therapist Assistant program at St. Louis College of Health Careers, has applied for accreditation and has been granted "Candidacy for Accreditation" Status by the Commission on Accreditation for Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)), located in 1111 N. Fairfax St., Alexandria, VA 22314-1488. Once accreditation of the program has been obtained, its graduates will be eligible to sit for the national licensure examination for the Physical Therapist Assistant administered by the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE). After successful completion of this exam, the individual will be a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA). In addition, most states, including Missouri and Illinois, require licensure in order to practice; however, state licenses are usually based on the results of the NPTE.
